It would be cool if you could set a cookie so that the preference stayed. Each time I come back the default of no pics sets in.

I’m glad you’re keeping the images available, I love the cognitive dissonance they create — smart content/dumb pictures.

OK, they’re not dumb. But while your content appeals to my higher brain, the pictures tickle my mammalian instincts.

There’s something odd though with this new function, and I don’t know yet if Safari (1.0 beta v.51) is the culprit or if your code is guilty

When I switch to “images”, it works fine, but if I switch back to “no images”, then Safari crashes and quit.

And it doesn’t do this on Zeldmann’s.

safari luves the pictures…that’s why its crashses if you click no image…a “silent” protest!

Your script works great on Win IE6 and Win Phoenix (you did ask for confirmation right?).

This is a good feature, if no other reason than I can read your fine blog at work, which I didn’t dare do before, since it was so, err, “eye-catching.”

The option is nice, though. I can have one flavor at work, and one at home.

I guess I’m a little slower than the rest, but I can’t figure out how to “turn the images back on.” I’m using NetNewsWire Lite 1.0.2 and OmniWeb 4.1.1. I see the images under NetNewsWire Lite, but I don’t see any way to “turn the images on” when I view the web page under OmniWeb. Help!!

noel, since i like the challenges i’ve just done a quick search about manuela, i’ve found the source image for the heading gfx (the top one, not the girl on the left side). warning for the americans, the picture contains female nudity:sun shower.
