I ditched Saft a long time ago when I began using the Safari 3.0 betas. Just choose "Reopen all windows from last session" under the History menu. The tab you were last viewing will be selected and even your previously minimized windows will be re-minimized. Works beautifully and Safari crashes a whole lot less frequently since I removed Saft. I was a devotee for awhile too, but since "save my tabs" was about the only feature I ever used… I'm happy to be rid of it.
