Ask around and you'll find PVE in Wotlk is braindead easy, while arena (the only pvp that matters - world pvp died with flying mounts) suffers from the usual class imbalances. I might subscribe again if they offered something like the test realm (choose any fully geared lvl 80 race/class) on a permanent basis. But going back to the grind for reputations and mats (enchants, gems, glyphs...)? Ugh. Dude, you don’t want to let WoW suck you into it again.
